Fall Events in Manitou Springs

Get festive at our fall events

Any day spent in Manitou Springs can be, well, eventful. It’s not unusual to catch a spontaneous drum circle along main street or spot a fruitcake toss in the park. (No, really, it’s a thing.) Even without the fruitcake, our can’t-miss fall events are just as “fruity” as you’d expect. #KeepManitouFruity

Hauntingly good times

Not all Manitou locals are…living. Be prepared to be frightened—or just have a frighteningly fun time—celebrating Halloween in Manitou Springs.

Ghost Tours

Reveal the long-lost stories of Manitou's "oldest" residents every weekend in October.

Emma Crawford Coffin Races and Festival

The tradition continues! Ghouls, goblins and ghosts will descend on Manitou Avenue for the 28th annual Emma Crawford Coffin Races. The race, made up of teams of five—4 pushers and 1 “Emma”—race to the finish line to pay homage to the lady and the legend, Emma Crawford. In 1929, after 38 years buried on top of Red Mountain, Emma and her coffin came racing down the ridge and straight through town.
