Enjoy Uncommon Art at the Commonwheel, where more than thirty local artists offer examples of their creativity. Since the co-op opened in 1974, our mission has been to promote art in the Pikes Peak Region.
Our name, Commonwheel, comes from the idea that we are all spokes of a common wheel, turning together to support each other as artists. This concept has served us well.
All the work exhibited in our charming shop is made by local Colorado artists. You can be assured of selecting unique handmade gifts and art objects for your personal enjoyment.
We are open daily from 10 am to 6 pm and until 8 pm during the summer (Memorial Day to Labor Day). We are closed only on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day.
Every year on Labor Day weekend we host an Arts Festival, showcasing work by over 100 local and regional artists, along with local musicians and food vendors. In this event we strive for sustainability, diverting 80% of the waste from landfills with our Zero Waste Program.
