More fun, less frustration
Our fun (and sometimes funky) events draw in people from everywhere. To make sure there is room for everyone, there are often, parking restrictions, detours, and special shuttles to get people into town. Check out the details below for some of our major events.
Coffin Races – October 25, 2025

- Parade Begins 12 PM, Coffin Races Follows Right After
- Road Closure 9 AM - 3 PM
- Pike Ride Valet 9 AM - 6 PM
- Shuttles 9 AM - 6 PM, Last shuttle departs Memorial Park at 6 PM
- Shuttles cost $5 round-trip (CASH ONLY) per person. Ages 12 and under ride free!
Coffin Race Parking: Manitou Springs' Spooktacular Racing Event
- Teams compete in speed, coffin design, team names, and costumes
- Coffins must meet strict specifications for safety and functionality
- Get ready for the 31st year of racing coffins in Manitou Springs!
As a reminder, parking for the Coffin Races will be available at the following locations:
- Park for FREE at 1675 Garden of the Gods Rd (Citizens Service Center/DMV) parking lots & parking garage until they close at 8 PM, then ride one of the 10+ shuttles that run continuously from 9 AM – 6 PM for $5 round-trip *CASH ONLY* per person. It will drop off/pick up from Hiawatha Gardens at 10 Old Mans Trail, 1 block from downtown. Shuttles will arrive approximately every 15-20 minutes.
- Catch a ride with Uber or Lyft! There is a designated drop-off/pickup spot at 484 Manitou Ave, Manitou Springs, CO 80829.
- Support our local high school’s Wrestling Team by parking at the Manitou Springs High School parking lots – Need to have your $10 donation per car *CASH ONLY* ready!
- Bike to the races! Pike Ride is offering a FREE bicycle valet located in Memorial Park 9 AM – 6 PM. You will receive a FREE drink token to use at the After Party in Soda Springs Park 11 AM-5 PM. Anyone who bikes will receive a free 30-minute coupon for Pike Ride that they can use day of the event, at a later date, or give to a friend! Otherwise, feel free to lock up at one of the many bike racks around town.

Brewing Tradition
The Manitou Springs Heritage Brew Festival is an annual celebration of craft beer, showcasing local and regional breweries in the picturesque town of Manitou Springs, Colorado. Attendees can sample a wide variety of unique and flavorful brews while enjoying live music, delicious food, and the charming atmosphere of this historic mountain community.

Pikes Peak Marathon – September 20-21, 2025

Conquering the Summit
The Pikes Peak Marathon is a grueling and iconic race that challenges runners to conquer the summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado, USA. The event features both a marathon and an ascent, with the marathon covering 26.2 miles (42.2 km) up and down the mountain, while the ascent is a 13.1-mile (21.1 km) race to the summit, with runners facing high altitude, steep inclines, and unpredictable weather conditions.

Ride the city bus
The #3 Mountain Metro bus stops at 10 Old Man’s Trail, a short walk from most events. One-way tickets are $1.75 for adults
