Miramont Castle is a 14,000 square foot National Historic Landmark built in 1895 as a private residence. The Castle features nine styles of architecture ranging from English Tudor to Byzantine, all crafted from locally quarried greenstone. Miramont Castle is dedicated to preserving the Victorian heritage of Manitou Springs and the Pikes Peak region. Our mission is to preserve and restore the architectural integrity of the Castle and provide educational experiences and resources on the history of Manitou Springs, its indigenous people, and its artifacts.
We invite you to join us and experience life as it would have been in the Victorian Era. As a museum, we continue to evolve, we have recently opened the last three rooms of the Castle which is our newest exhibit; The Nurnberg High Command Trials. Your tour begins with the Manitou Springs Fire Department Exhibit. As you continue through the next three floors you will see many artifacts from the Victorian Era, spoils of war from WWII to Afghanistan, as well as local history. Tours are self-guided.
Admission fees: Adults $14, Seniors 60+ $13, Children ages 4-12 $10, under 4 are free. Active duty military/firefighter free with ID.
