A 2.6 mile moderately-trafficked out and back trail off Rampart Range Road near Woodland Park, this easy trail ends at Rampart Reservoir and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for walking, nature trips, and birding. Your best bet is to visit between April and October.
Trailhead Directions: From Manitou Springs, take US 24 West for 13 miles to Woodland Park and turn right onto S Baldwin St. Continue on S Baldwin St as it bears left and becomes Rampart Range Rd. Then, follow the signs to Rampart Reservoir, traveling 2.9 miles before turning right on Loy Creek Rd. Go on 1.5 miles to Rampart Range Rd/F.S. 200. It’s only 2.3 miles to a large parking lot on the left.
