This lightly-trafficked 5.66-mile trail crosses over the summit of Cascade Mountain. That means the way back goes uphill before it comes back down. The trail ends at the intersection with Trail 703.
If at the end of the trail you’re ready to hike more, turn right (West) onto Trail 703 and go 0.25 miles to reach Manitou Reservoir.
Trailhead Directions: From Manitou Springs, take US 24 West for 5 miles to Cascade and turn left at the traffic light onto Fountain Ave. Take a quick left onto Emporia Ave, another on Park St, and yet another left onto Amenome Hill Rd. The trail starts at the end of Anemone Hill Rd. Park only at the bottom in the pull-offs, or along the street on Emporia Ave and Park St. Follow all local signs in Cascade.
