Time for a little holiday shopping
Need some holiday gift inspiration? Look no further than your local Colorado small businesses. For every $100 spent locally, $70 stays in our community.
Here are a few ways that you can Shop Local this holiday season:
- Buy a gift card to your favorite Manitou Springs restaurant or bar.
- Pick up a hand painted work of art from one our many local artists.
- Take a walk through town to see the lights, and browse the wares at our locally owned shops.
- Stop by the Chamber of Commerce to get Manitou Money, useable at 60+ of the businesses in Manitou Springs.
- Remember that spending $75 or more in Manitou Springs qualifies you to receive a 40% off voucher for a weekday lift ticket to Monarch Mountain.
Listen out for our Holiday Brass Band
While you’re in town, head down to the roundabout on the west side of our historic downtown district for some live holiday music. Our Holiday Brass will be performing on Sundays in December from 1pm-3pm. Take a second to soak in the holidays by listening to music and shopping small here in Manitou Springs.
Spread some holiday cheer
Looking to spread some extra holiday cheer? Join us in one or both of our holiday decorating contests!
Shops around Downtown Manitou Springs will be participating in a holiday decorating competition. While you shop in town, keep an eye out for your favorite decorations, and let us know which your favorite is.
One lucky people’s choice voter that emails email@example.com with their name and their vote, will be awarded $25 in Manitou Money on December 21st.
Want to be a bit more hands on? Join our new Holiday Adopt-A-Tree contest to help us dress up Manitou Springs to the nines.

Support Wildfire Relief
In Manitou Springs, we’re very well aware of the impact that wildfires bring to the communities we love. After the recent wildfires to the north of us, Wildfire Tees has relaunched and produced new shirts with 100% of the profits benefitting Colorado Wildfire Victims. Join us in supporting wildfire relief by picking up shirts designed and printed in Colorado. Whatever you can do to help these communities goes a long way in helping them recover.
Now Until December 17th
Send Santa your wish list
We’ve gotten together with our friends over at The North Pole, to help us make sure all of your letters make it to the Big Guy before Christmas.
Drop off your letters to Santa by December 17th in our Christmas house drop box by the town clock. His team of elves will pick them up and get them to The North Pole for you.
While you’re dropping off your letter, be sure to take a selfie at our selfie station, and tag @visitmanitousprings online to show us your holiday spirit!
P.S. – Parents, make sure you include your address on the letter, so Santa can send a letter back. It’s a busy time of year for him, so having your address written down will speed up the process for him.
