The Old West and The Code of the West

The Manitou Springs Heritage Museum proudly hosts Award-Winning local western writer and historian, Mike Torreano, and his presentation, “The Old West and The Code of the West”.  Mr. Torreano takes his audience back to the Old West, and The Code of the West and talks about bygone times that spawned values that are still relevant today.

Mike Torreano is an award-winning author who writes historical fiction and western mysteries set in mid-to-late 19th century America. Growing up in Ohio, he developed a love for the Old West during grade school when he read every Zane Grey novel he could lay his hands on. His favorite authors/poets in this genre are Grey, Louis L’amour, Jack London, and Robert Service.
