May Natural History Museum

Colorado Springs' only bug museum!

The May Natural History Museum is home of the world’s largest private bug collection with over 7000 species of moths, butterflies, giant spiders, bizarre beetles, deadly scorpions and more! The Bug Museum is fun for kids of all ages, bug enthusiasts and anyone who wants to explore some of the creepy crawly insects we have in our collection. The founder of the May Museum, James May, traveled all over the world to find over 100,000 specimens of bugs, insects and anything that crawls. You can be sure you will find some of the coolest bugs.

The Golden Eagle Campground has been kept a quiet and peaceful place to camp since 1960. Located on the south side of Colorado Springs you can enjoy incredible views, 12+ miles of hiking trails, beautiful wildflowers and mountain views, lakes for fishing with plenty of great photo opportunities. Located off Highway 115 we have rates for tent camping, water, and electric full hookups. It is a great experience for you and your family.
