What's happening in town this month?
While traditional Coffin Races are off the schedule, there’s still plenty of weird to be seen around Manitou Springs this Halloween season.
The Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce will keep the spirit of the Emma Crawford Coffin Races alive with a scavenger hunt competition, costume contests, hearse sightings, and so many other spooktacular events this October in Manitou Springs!
The Emma Cup Scavenger Hunt
The signature scavenger hunt throughout Manitou Springs will start October 17 through Oct 25.
On October 17, we’ll be releasing a list of riddles/clues that teams will have to solve and submit pictures showing completion to email@example.com.
Each completed task will earn your team an entry into a drawing for fantastic local prize packages.

This Halloween, the Manitou Springs Chamber of Commerce will not be hosting any officially sanctioned Trick-or-Treating event in downtown Manitou Springs due to COVID-19.
The Skeleton Craze has returned! Skeletons will adorn the windows of local businesses starting October 4th and continuing through October 31st. You can cast your vote during that time online or at the following locations:
- Adam’s Mountain Cafe
- Manitou Art Center – 513
- Manitou Springs Visitor’s Center
- The Whickerbill

Mountain Brews & Manitou Wines
Looking for more excitement? We’ve got it! Join us and celebrate all the local flavors of Manitou’s wine and beer community at the Mountain Brews & Manitou Wines event on Oct 17th.
Attendees will select from 4 options to sample from 6 local bars/restaurants (Including our very own Manitou Springs winery & brewery) in a public event space at Soda Springs Park Bud Ford Pavilion from 3 pm – 5 pm.

Manitou Springs Hearse Parade
Stick around in Manitou on October 24th as you finish up your scavenger hunt and watch for the hearse parade to roll through Manitou!
It’s happening at 12pm on Saturday, October 24th, so hang on the sidelines for this can’t-miss event.

Ghost Tours of Old Manitou
The Manitou Springs Heritage Center has once again resumed their outdoor walking ghost tours in a perfectly balanced socially distanced event!
In partnership with THEATREdART, there will be multiple tours every weekend throughout October. Delve into spooky local history while you watch and listen to stories based on events lurking in Manitou’s past. Hurry and grab your tickets- they go fast!
