Commonwheel Artists 46th Annual Labor Day Art Festival

COMMONWHEEL ART FESTIVAL CELEBRATES 46 YEARS OF

SUPPORTING ORIGINAL ARTISTS

The Festival is Virtual, but the Art and Artists are Real!

The Commonwheel Artists’ 46th Annual Labor Day Art Festival will be different this year. To do our part to control the spread of COVID-19, we will not hold the Commonwheel Art Festival in Memorial Park in Manitou Springs. However, the tradition WILL continue! Instead of you coming to the park, we will bring the festival to you in an exciting new virtual form: the Commonwheel Virtual Artists Festival.

Unprecedented cancellations across the nation in arts, culture and entertainment have filled the news the last three months. According to a recent Denver Post article, the income of some artists has dropped as much as 80%. We’ve been supporting artists and the arts community since 1974, and won’t stop now, no matter the circumstances.

The virtual festival will run 24 hours a day from Sept. 5 through Sept 13. As usual, you can shop for beautiful fine art, photographs, handmade pottery or jewelry, and more, but from the safety of your home. Our virtual artists’ booths will link to artists’ websites where you can buy directly from them. Purchases will be shipped to your door.

During these few days, you can also interact with artists via live video.  New this year: behind-the-scenes virtual studio tours and artists’ demos! Lively music, prize drawings and special discounts will complete your festival experience.
