Little London Winds

Little London Winds

Established in 1992 by a small group of musicians, The Little London Winds has grown to over 40 members strong. We pride ourselves in maintaining a high level of music performace and sharing our love of music with the Pikes Peak community.

The Little London Winds performs a variety of music literature from classic band literature to well-known pieces loved by all ages. We perform in concert multiple times a year including concerts in the fall, holiday concerts, spring educational concerts, and our wildly popular summer concert series.

Starburn is a high energy rock band playing the music of the late 60’s and early 70’s. Remember Vanilla Fudge, The Doobie Brothers, Chicago, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Santana, Cream and many more? Starburn will take you there! Starburn is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado and seeks opportunities to play at art centers, festivals, concert halls, private events and select night clubs throughout the western United States.

CC Bluegrass Ensemble

The Colorado College (advanced) Bluegrass Ensemble is an instrumental and vocal band created to provide for students a challenging and creative environment in which to develop material with the feel and structure of bluegrass music. The ensemble draws mainly from traditional sources including Bill Monroe, Flatt and Scruggs, Jimmy Martin, and the Stanley Brothers. The ensemble frequently performs at the Durango Bluegrass Meltdown, held annually in April. The ensemble receives academic credit and is by audition only.

Nube Nueve

Nube Nueve

Nube Nueve is the one and only Latin jazz group playing in Colorado Springs  . We do classic Latin jazz arrangements of songs by artist such as Tito Puente , Poncho Sanchez , Hilton Ruiz and many other great Latin jazz masters. 
This band features members of New Vintage (myself and Ian Ferguson) and has a core of Latin percussion experts led by Ricky Sanchez on congas . The group varies in size from 4 to 8 members.

New Vintage Jazz

The band has evolved into a quartet with an upright bass (Andy Burtschi) , drums (Randy Bowen) and keys (Ian Ferguson) . We are making a name for ourselves playing regularly in small venues in Colorado Springs and have developed an enthusiastic  following of fans.

New Vintage Jazz specializes in songs from the “Hard Bop” era of jazz (mid 50’s thru the 60’s). We do fresh versions of tunes from the great masters of the era such as Horace Silver , Hank Mobley , Art Blakey , Freddie Hubbard etc…

Dog Ghost

Dog Ghost is a music project made up of various songs from the bands The Electric Illuminati, The Kinnikinniks, The BeeWees, The Cosmic Flying Goats, and The New Depressionists fronted by Jack Medicine (Don Goede) and Michael Kimbell whom exist in all of the band projects mentioned above. They will weave a set of music on August 21st, 2023 for a live album release entitled: Manitou Ghost Songs Live at Soda Springs Park. Please join them to be a part of their historic concert. They hope to be accompanied by long time musical collaborators and bandmates: Jack Kennedy, Aimee Spillane, Keith Varney, Vincent Coleman, Adriana Jones-Rincon, and special guests.
