The Parking Office can be contacted with questions about permits (Center Lane; Parking Lots; Residential), tickets or anything involving the city’s parking program. Open Monday – Friday from 8am – 5pm.

If a visitor gets a ticket, he/she may pay by cash, check or credit card during regular office hours at the parking office. Payments can also be made 24/7 online by credit card at www.parkingticketpayment.com/manitou or by phone at 1-888-614-7240. A check or money order (no cash please) in the Police Department lobby drop box (also at 606 Manitou Avenue). Check or Money Order payable to the City of Manitou Springs can be mailed to the Parking office at the address above. Write the ticket number on the front of a check or money order to insure proper credit.

Appeal Instructions: To contest a ticket, submit an appeal 24/7 online within 30 days of the issue date at www.parkingticketpayment.com/manitouExternal or at the kiosk in the police department lobby. Appeals cannot be processed by parking personnel.

Parking Schedules

Downtown –

 • Paid Parking from 7am to 6pm (seven days per week)

• The vehicle license plate numbers/letters must be inputted into the kiosk

• Rates On-Street: $1 each for the first 3 hours, $2 each for hours 4-5; $3 each to park over 6 hours

• Visitors can use the 30 minutes free option up to 2x per day

• Rates in the three, public parking lots serving the downtown are: $1 each hour up to 4 hours; $5 for 5 hours and above. These lots are: Wichita Lot at 708 Manitou Avenue; Canon Lot at 135 Canon Avenue and the Smischny Lot at 1134 Manitou Avenue. Parking Permits are also available for anyone who uses a lot frequently or wishes to park overnight.

Ruxton Avenue –

• The first block of Ruxton Avenue between Manitou and Osage Avenues is 2-hour parking. The rate is $1 per hour and visitors are limited to no more than 2 hours 1x a day in this block.

• The hourly rate for Ruxton on-street parking west of Osage Avenue is now $10/hour. Paid public parking is allowed Mondays through Fridays from 8am to 4pm. All other times, Ruxton west of Osage and Winter Street are Resident Permit Parking only. Early morning or late evening on-street PUBLIC parking is no longer available on Ruxton Avenue or Winter Street.

• Parking in Barr Trail Parking Lot is available by reservation only. Reserve a space ahead of time at  www.parkbarrtrail.com. The system aims to reduce traffic and congestion on Ruxton Avenue by people looking for a parking space and make it easier for hikers heading to Barr Camp, the summit of Pikes Peak, and other, longer-term destinations to make arrangements for parking. The daily rate in the Barr Trail Parking Lot is $20; a refund of up to $15 for each day of parking for hikers who go to Barr Camp and obtain a validated coupon from the Barr Camp caretakers. Hikers can submit this to the City’s parking office either in person or by mail. Reservations can be made up to a year in advance. Hiawatha Gardens FREE Parking Lot –

Parking at the Hiawatha Gardens Parking Lot (10 Old Mans Trail) just east of the Downtown is FREE. Visitors can easily walk to shops, restaurants and the Incline, or ride the Free Shuttle that serves the downtown and the Incline year-round.

Parking Tips

1. To use the 30 Minutes FREE option when parking on-street downtown
Enter license plate number at the meter, then:
• choose #1 Purchase Ticket
• Choose #1 30 minute FREE
• A receipt will print

2. If necessary, use a cell phone camera to take a photo of a license plate for reference. If you have a typo on the receipt, just place it on your dash to avoid a ticket.
3.  Pay or extend time for on-street parking at any on-street parking “meter” kiosks in the downtown.
4. Pay or extend your time in the off-street lots at the meter in the lot you parked in ONLY. Lot rates are lower with a maximum of $5 for all day.
5. If a kiosk does not print a receipt , it may be out of paper. Call (719) 685-2571 to request a refill, or walk away knowing your license plate was recorded as “paid” if the screen showed the expiration time.
7. Parking on Ruxton Ave is signed with detailed instructions. Please read all signs close to where vehicle is parked.

• Take the ticket/receipt unless there is a typo on the plate number; then set it on the dash.

4. Choose “hourly” to pay by the hour or “Daily” to pay for all day until Midnight
5. Choose how many hours/Days – Press OK
• Pay by Coin, Credit Card or Bills
• If you pay by Credit Card enter you mobile number at the end to get a reminder and extend by text
• Take the ticket/receipt unless there is a typo on the plate number; then set it on the dash.
