Manitou Incline Grand Re-Opening

On Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 7-10A, the City of Manitou Springs welcomes hikers to the Grand Re-Opening of the Manitou Incline! Hikers can park for FREE at the Hiawatha Gardens Parking Lot (10 Old Mans Trail) and ride the FREE shuttle to the foot of the Incline courtesy of the City of Manitou Springs’ parking revenues.

To celebrate the return of the hikers, and encourage them to ride the shuttle, Manitou Springs will be providing bottled water for hikers to take on their trek. As a special treat, the City has partnered with The Market to offer a gluten free mini-donut and coffee to help hikers re-energize post-hike. The donuts and coffee are free to the first 300 hikers who park at Hiawatha Gardens and ride the shuttle.

“The City of Manitou Springs is pleased to be able to use our parking revenues to provide free parking and shuttle options for Incliners,” says Manitou Springs Mayor, Nicole Nicoletta, “These options allow us to minimize congestion in the Ruxton corridor, and ensure that shoppers and diners have easy access to convenient downtown parking.”

“We are HUGE incline fans and we know it takes a serious amount of energy to do it,” says Ramsey Lowe of The Market, “we were excited to be able to provide a healthy treat for returning Incliners.”
